Recently, the "Double Foreign Exchange" series of activities in Anhui Province entered Fuyang City, focusing on agricultural technology innovation and industrial upgrading. During the event, Mr Xu ,General Manager of Hefei Crownow Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to give a keynote speech titled "Plant Factories and Distributed Vertical Agriculture: Future Solutions for Efficient Agriculture", sharing how modern agricultural technology can help rural revitalization and sustainable development.

Innovative models to overcome bottlenecks in traditional agriculture

Mr. Xu pointed out in his speech that with the acceleration of urbanization and the shortage of arable land resources, traditional agriculture is facing challenges such as low production efficiency and strong environmental dependence. Plant factories and distributed vertical agriculture can achieve intensive production in urban communities, rural areas, and other scenarios through the integration of "technology+scenarios", greatly improving land use efficiency and crop yields. He used the practice of creating agriculture in Hefei as an example to introduce core technologies such as multi-layer three-dimensional cultivation and intelligent light controlled water and fertilizer systems, achieving uninterrupted production of leafy vegetables throughout the year, with a unit area production capacity of more than 10 times that of outdoor planting.

Distributed layout empowers rural revitalization

In response to the characteristics of the agricultural city of Fuyang, Mr. Xu proposed the implementation path of "distributed vertical agriculture": laying out modular planting units in counties, producing high value-added vegetables or medicinal plants in combination with local demand, which can not only reduce logistics costs, but also drive farmers to participate in technical training and industrial chain division of labor. He emphasized that this model can effectively cope with extreme climate impacts, ensure stable supply of "vegetable baskets", and reduce agricultural non-point source pollution, which is in line with the direction of green and low-carbon development.

Government enterprise collaboration promotes technology implementation

At the event, the relevant person in charge of Fuyang Science and Technology Bureau stated that they will actively connect with such innovative projects and accelerate the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements through policy support and demonstration point construction. It is reported that Hefei Chuangnong has cooperated with multiple regions within the province and plans to promote customized vertical agriculture solutions in northern Anhui in the future.

The "Double Foreign Exchange" event was led by the Science and Technology Department of Anhui Province, attracting more than 200 representatives from universities, enterprises, and agricultural cooperatives to participate. Several institutions on site reached preliminary intentions for technical cooperation.
